From sun kiosk to water pump
The sun kiosk project in Benin is going well. Stanislas Jules Landjohou, responsible for the project, gives us an update from the village of Govi.
Govi is one of the first villages in Benin where a sun kiosk was placed with the help of Collibri Foundation. Jules now informs us that the villagers used the money yielded from the kiosk for the drilling of a water well. The new water pump makes the life of the villages a lot easier.
It is also proof that investing in sun kiosks does more than provide light and education. It is a way to give the local populace ownership of their community so they can also develop themselves in other fields.
