Capital vzw: a hub for Brussels youth
In a spacious 2,000 m² building in the city centre, Capital brings young people in Brussels into contact with various organisations and companies. Spread over four floors, the organisation offers coaching and guidance (e.g. for internship opportunities), coworking spaces and a virtual reality tour that introduces them to numerous business sectors. Numerous workshops and activities are also organised.
Safe haven for enterprising young people
Capital is an initiative of ex-Booster and entrepreneur Hassan Al Hilou. The entire building is equipped with digital technologies and the offer for the young people is developed in cooperation with various partners: youth organisations, employment agencies such as Actiris, schools and companies from Brussels and the surrounding area. As a ‘one-stop-source’, Capital wants to be a magnet for young people in Brussels who want to explore or strengthen their opportunities on the labour market. In the first year, Capital hopes to reach at least 5,000 young people.
Inspiring cross-fertilisation
Capital, as a youth hub, wants to break down the barriers with the business world in particular. The cross-fertilisation with the talent of tomorrow offers many opportunities for the concrete implementation of this project. From the start, it was supported by important private and public investors such as Sofina, Coca-Cola, Janssen Pharmaceutica and the Flemish government. Helping the young people develop their talents, and putting them on the road to financial independence: that is the ultimate goal. And as the Collibri Foundation, we are happy to put our back into it.
Through coaching, workshops and exchanges, young people from Brussels get easier access to the labour market.
