The start of a captivating work placement
Since 12 October, another 4 Indonesian students are doing a work placement at Colruyt Group. The ideal opportunity to broaden their horizons and to prepare for the working environment.

Several young people in Indonesia are developing a better future by continuing their education. Collibri Foundation is happy to help them by means of education projects. We work together with the Indonesian Child Welfare Foundation (YKAI) and school consortium Kanisius Semarang. In primary schools, teachers take action at their own initiative to expand their knowledge, while at secondary level, 185 students a year get scholarships. In higher education, finally, 15 young people are selected every year to follow a special programme. And four of these graduates can now do a work placement at Colruyt Group: Adianto, Dewi, Khoir and Lola.
Circular economy
The trainees work on the 'circular economy' theme. For this purpose, they can count on the assistance of several coaches and experts within Colruyt Group. They will examine how this system is used in the group, but also how to tackle waste management in Indonesian schools.
They will also visit the different departments of the family of companies in order to get acquainted with the many links in the logistic chain.

Belgian culture
Our ambassador Nancy Geeroms will accompany them through the whole experience. They are staying with host families, where they are introduced to Belgian culture.
In short, a work placement that brings together different worlds and will be an unforgettable experience for us as well as for the trainees.
