You already know that chocolate is made from cocoa beans. But how are they farmed? And even more interesting, by whom? In this video you’ll meet the cocoa farmers behind that delicious piece of chocolate.

Get to know Maria, Freddy and Lázaro, three coca farmers from Nicaragua. Young people with dreams and a goal for their future: growing cocoa is how they improve their situation. They get training through the education project that we are carrying out together with Rikolto/Vredeseilanden. YOUCA supports this project as well from 2015 until 2018.

But you can support them too, and very easily: by buying chocolate made from their cocoa beans. You’ll be supporting young farmers and you’ll enjoy a delicious piece of chocolate, a win-win situation.
