A different look at Benin

Jan is an ambassador for the Collibri Foundation. This is something he would love to show to his family, friends, and co-workers. His 50th birthday seemed to him the ideal opportunity to do so. So, in addition to his family, friends, and co-workers, he invited quite a few people involved with Collibri Foundation.

'I made the entire evening Africa-themed,' Jan says. 'With food, drinks, music, stories, and more. A great get-together with the added bonus of a presentation about one of my projects for the South. I wanted to tell the attendees about my commitment to being an ambassador and get them interested in the projects Collibri Foundation participates in in the African country of Benin.' After Jan's introduction, Mieke Vercaeren told everyone a little bit about Collibri Foundation. Then Leen Hellinckx and Amber Dierckx from UC Leuven-Limburg shed light on the education programme for rice farmers. And Serge Horsmans from Solar Zonder Grenzen explained the solar energy project 'safely doing homework'.

A successful and especially pleasant evening for all attendees! And says Jan, definitely worth repeating. He is already brainstorming about future initiatives.
The goal? To make his projects more well-known. So definitely to be continued!
